The basic activity of preparatory faculty of the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of Donetsk National Medical University lies in teaching foreign citizens Ukrainian (Russian) language and disciplines of a general course.
The form of education is full-time. The duration of study makes 10 months. Terms of enrolment are unlimited at the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of DNMU.
Training at the Premedical Department is conducted in accordance with the programme of pre-university education for foreign nationals who are preparing to enter the universities of medical profile for undergraduate studies, internship and residency. They are trained Russian (Ukrainian) as a foreign language, chemistry, biology and physics.
A special course “Language of the Specialty” is offered by the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of DNMU to future interns and residents. Progress and knowledge acquired in all disciplines is controlled in the form of tests, control works and colloquiums.
In June, the Premedical Department students sit for final exams in the Russian (Ukrainian) language, chemistry and biology. On successful passing the examinations the students receive a “Certificate of Completion of Premedical Department for international students” which gives an advantage when enrolling for undergraduate education at the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of Donetsk National Medical University.
More than 500 foreign students enter the premedical faculty of the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus from such countries as India, Nigeria, Ghana, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Turkey, Egypt, Namibia, Azerbaijan, South African Republic, Morocco, the countries of Latin America and Asia, etc. every year.
Having obtained a strong language and general course preparation, the graduates of premedical faculty prove better results in further study in any institutions of higher education.
During the year apart from the main study, students of the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus get practically acquainted with Ukraine and its traditions in the warm creative atmosphere formed by the faculty team and highly-qualified teachers who have a specialized education and high experience in working with foreign citizens at the all stages of their training.
