The Pharmacy Faculty of the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of DNMU is a five-year combination of required and elective courses. Students are generally enrolled in 15-18 units each semester.
The pharmacist is an integral member of the healthcare team who provides preventive and therapeutic pharmaceutical care and serves as a resource to patients and other healthcare providers. A dynamic educational program is needed to develop these competencies.
The teachers of the the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of DNMUcontinuously review and enhance the curriculum to ensure students develop the competencies essential to the pharmacist’s expanding role as health care provider. Curriculum changes also reflect scientific advances, population profile changes, increasing health expectations, technological advances, the increasing role of the government in health services and other influences.
Foundation courses of the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus in the biomedical, pharmaceutical, social-administrative and clinical sciences comprise the first three years of the program. Students of DNMU complete introductory pharmacy practice experiences along with classroom-based courses. The final fifth year of the program includes the advanced pharmacy practice experiences, which are set in healthcare setting throughout the greater international area.
All conditions for training of highly skilled specialists for all pharmaceutical industry segments such as pharmacy establishments, pharmaceutical, perfumery and cosmetic enterprises, drug quality control and scientists (Doctors and Candidates of Sciences (PhD)) training for state institutions are created in the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of DNMU.
Educational process at the Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus is well provided with educational and methodological literature in official and foreign languages which are used by all pharmaceutical faculties around the world.
Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Campus of Donetsk National Medical University constantly exhibits its scientific achievements in the field of Pharmacy in Ukraine and takes part in the work of international forums, where it repeatedly receives awards, gold medals and diplomas.
